Gareth Morgan is a poet from Williamstown. He is the author of the poetry chapbook Dear Eileen (Puncher and Wattmann 2020). He has poems published in various literary journals including Cordite Poetry Review, Rabbit Poetry Journal, The Suburban Review and Otoliths. He also is co-director of the reading series and journal, Sick Leave. He was one of 8 recipients of a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship for new and emerging writers in 2019, and was shortlisted for the 2019 Overland Judith Wright Poetry Prize for New and Emerging Poets for his poem, ‘Government steals my rain’. He has presented at numerous venues around Melbourne including the Gasometer Hotel and The Next Big Thing at the Moat Hotel.
