From the Corner of my Eye: Poetry and the "Infra-ordinary"
Nottingham is a City of Literature
Time zone in Nottingham, UK (GMT+1)
In this interactive session, we will look at the "infra-ordinary" and how we use this concept to inspire new writing.
As writers, we're constantly looking to the unusual, peculiar, and extraordinary to inspire our writing.
But what about the "infra-ordinary"? The details, movements and rhythms of the everyday. How can we use the bits in between to create new poetry?
This July, we'll be joined by writer and performer Lytisha Tunbridge for a journey to the nearby. Throughout this 2-hour session, Lytisha will be exploring the "infra-ordinary", the details of life, and how we can apply this concept to our own poetry through short writing exercises, discussion, and feedback.
