Author Talk - Abe Nouk

Celebrating Refugee Week: Sunday 19 June to Saturday 25 June 2016

Sudanese-born Abe Nouk was illiterate when he and his family arrived in Australia in 2004. Four years ago Abe taught himself to read, write and speak English. He has since become one of Australia’s foremost spoken-word poets, representing Victoria last year in the Australian Poetry Slam competition. Abe is also the founder and director of Creative Rebellion Youth, an MC and author.

Come and listen to Abe perform some of his award-winning poetry and speak about his love affair with words.
