The Unfolding of Benjamin's Misery

hidetoambiguous

Event Date: 12 September 2019 to 15 September 2019
Author / Presenters: Hideto Ambiguous

The Liverpool Poetry Slam champ, Hideto Ambigous, brings his one-man tragicomic storytelling 'The Unfolding of Benjamin's Misery' to this city of Literature as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival!!
This play explores dark truths of globalization like work exploitation, criminalized human migration, and cultural fetishization, as well as a crucial role of poetic arts and its community in civil society to collectivize struggles of each of the oppressed.
By combining techniques of story-telling, spoken word, Dark Clown, and strip, this play will offer you a super-theatrical experience through which you will end up seeing the world from a different perspective.

"His poetry is lovely and soul-baring, flirting with the edges of provocation...It’s a story of finding that confidence and breaking the chains of oppression and expectation, and the humdrum of life."
