20 Years of the Annual Melbourne Prize
The Wheeler Centre
Celebrate the 20th year of the Melbourne Prize with previous winners Christos Tsiolkas and Nam Le and the 2024 winner, announced on 14 November. Launched in 2004, the annual Melbourne Prize rewards excellence and talent, inspires creative development and enriches public life by providing career development opportunities to Victorian writers, sculptors and musicians. Join us to celebrate 20 years of the annual Melbourne Prize with this year’s Melbourne Prize for Literature, which highlights artistic excellence in Australia’s first UNESCO City of Literature. Be the first to hear from the yet-to-be-announced 2024 winner of the Melbourne Prize, as they discuss their work with 2024 judge Christos Tsiolkas. Nam Le, winner of the Best Writing Award in 2009, will open the event with a reading from his debut poetry book.
