BOOK OF EXODUS – PART II
The children wait in the desert. Their God performs spectacles of power. He hides His face. He unveils His Face. At last, He reveals the Law.
Known for their visionary theatre-making and mastery of the epic, Fraught Outfit trace the birth of a community propelled by divine force.
Inspired by the biblical myth, THE BOOK OF EXODUS is the final instalment in Fraught Outfit’s Innocence Trilogy, including the radical, acclaimed production ON THE BODILY EDUCATION OF YOUNG GIRLS (Neon Festival 2013) and the unnerving, surreal teen drama THE BACCHAE (MIAF 2015, Dark Mofo 2016).
Having presented Fraught Outfit’s poetic reinterpretation of Ingmar Bergman’s PERSONA (2012), Theatre Works is proud to premiere THE BOOK OF EXODUS in two parts.
Part I premieres in June 2017, with Part II, the final installment, being presented at Theatre Works in October 2017.
Australian Premiere
