Join us at 6pm on Wednesday to hear award-winning novelist and short fiction writer, Wayne Macauley, in conversation with The Paperback's Bill Morton.
Wayne Macauley's new novel is Some Tests. His debut novel, Blueprints for a Barbed-Wire Canoe, was published in 2004 to wide acclaim. Caravan Story was a 2007 Readings Book of the Year and Other Stories, a collection of short fiction, was shortlisted for a 2011 Queensland Premier's Literary Award. His novel The Cook was released in Australia in 2011 and has since been published in Canada, the UK and Turkey. It was shortlisted for a Western Australian Premier's Award and the Victorian Premier's Literary Award. His 2014 novel, Demons, was shortlisted for a Victorian Premier's Literary Award. Wayne's short fiction has also been widely published.
The Paperback Salon Series
The Salon Series brings together our community of writers and readers in a program of informal readings and discussions, right here in the intimate setting of the bookshop. Join us every second Wednesday at 6pm, no bookings required, glass of wine on the house.
