Queer screen culture magazine Sissy Screens and the Wheeler Centre join forces for a night of smutty storytelling. A line-up of LGBTQIA+ writers, performers and filthmongers will put a queer and playful spin on fan fiction inspired by iconic books, films and pop culture.

Hosted by Anna Piper Scott, SMUT features sultry readings by Clem Bastow, Margot Tanjutco, Nkechi Anele, Urvi Majumdar, Vyshnavee Wijekumar, Nathan Borg and Tali Polichtuk; salacious performances by Cerulean and Evana De Lune; a screening of the award-winning animated short Are You Still Watching?; and a few kinky surprises.

Sissy Screens is a digital magazine dedicated to queer screen culture. Directed by queer and gender diverse artists who are passionate about showcasing LGBTQIA+ creatives and their work, it features articles, interviews, reviews, photography and original videos.

All proceeds will go towards future SMUT events. Drinks will be available to purchase from the Moat’s pop-up bar.

This event will be Auslan interpreted and the short film screening will be captioned. The Wheeler Centre is an accessible venue. Amplified music and light effects will be used. Gender neutral bathrooms will be available.

Please note, this event will contain explicit content.
