Following the River

Werribee River Association

Event Date: 16 November 2022 to 23 November 2022
Author / Presenters: Daisy Henwood

Take time to reflect on your relationship with your home-river, while also learning about the Rivers Wensum and Yare, near where nature writer Daisy Henwood lives in Norwich (UK). Together, we will consider what it means to live by a river, how we interact with it, and the emotional connections we form to the world around us.

The online workshops will be an informal, encouraging space to develop your writing, no matter what stage you're at – whether you’re a seasoned writer or never picked up your pen before. We will go through a series of writing prompts and activities, and discuss our ideas. There will be time to share your work (if you'd like to!).

Daisy Henwood is a writer and arts producer. Her work has appeared in Poetry Wales, Ink Sweat and Tears, Poetry Birmingham and Under the Radar. She received her PhD in environmental literature from the University of East Anglia in 2020. In 2021, she was writer-in-residence at Norwich Castle.

Werribee River Association proudly hosts Daisy as part of the Melbourne City of Literature virtual writers-in-residence program.
