The Hidden Writer Workshop Retreat
The Hidden Writer Workshop Retreat
Your ability as a writer might be hidden, even to yourself, but everyone has a creative soul they can express in words. The Hidden Writer Workshop Retreats are designed to help you discover your voice and distinctive style, free of fear of judgement and whatever else might be holding you back.
The Hidden Writer Workshop Retreat is a weekend writing retreat, based at the Northern Arts Hotel’s boutique accommodation in Castlemaine, for those who want to write but somehow can't get around to it. It’s also for anyone well into their first work but wondering where to take it. You'll engage in writing exercises created to build confidence and proficiency and be given the creative tools to continue your writing journey.
Ten participants will discover their hidden writer in a convivial atmosphere, delight in local artisanal food and wine and enjoy an introduction to Castlemaine’s cultural wealth and historic heritage. Local residents are encouraged to participate.
The workshops will be facilitated by local writer, Sherri McIver. Sherri has worked as a journalist and advertising copywriter, written scripts for TV as well as poetry and song lyrics and is currently ghost writing and editing several memoirs. Sherri has held many successful creative workshops in Central Victoria and throughout Australia. She will share writing advice and sources of inspiration gathered over a lifetime.
