SUMMARY:BOOK LAUNCH: 113th Assistant Librarian 3: Forbidden Pages by Stuart Wilson
DESCRIPTION:The Little Bookroom is excited to be hosting the launch of Forbidden Pages by Stuart Wilson\, the third book in the 113th Assistant Librarian series! \nAuthor Gabrielle Wang will be in conversation with Stuart Wilson to discuss his writing process\, the secrets behind all those library assistants\, and what exactly makes these pages so forbidden! \n  \nPre-order your copy HERE. \n  \nAbout the Book: \nBook 3 in the 113th Assistant Librarian series\, this middle-grade fantasy adventure follows Oliver Wormwood as he faces his most dangerous library quest yet. \n  \n‘A thrilling\, hilarious adventure\, full of books\, magic and surprises.’ Judith Rossell\, award-winning author of The Midwatch \nOliver Wormwood is shocked when Library Director Thorne arrives in Blackmoor-upon-Wyvern to take control of the library. \nEven worse\, the director has noticed that several especially volatile books are missing\, so Oliver and Agatha set out to retrieve the overdue titles. Following a trail of retired pirates\, apprentice mages and a snail the size of a cottage\, will they survive the magical books long enough to return home? \n  \nAbout the Author: \nStuart Wilson lives in Naarm/Melbourne with his wife and son. He is the author of The 113th Assistant Librarian and the Prometheus High books. He wishes to make it clear he finds auctions very stressful\, has never been a member of a book club\, nor has he ever infiltrated a magical boarding school. He did\, however\, once stand on the rim of an active volcano.

SUMMARY:BOOK LAUNCH: The Everywhere Train by Deborah Frenkel and Danny Snell
DESCRIPTION:The Little Bookroom is excited to be launching the new picture book from Deborah Frenkel and Danny Snell\, The Everywhere Train! \n  \nJoin the creators of the delightfully popular The Truck Cat as they share behind the scenes of their books! \n  \nYou can pre-order HERE \n  \nAbout the Book: \nOn Fridays\, Scout goes riding on the train with Pop. They look at the world ribboning past\, hello-goodbye-hello-goodbye … \nWhen Pop moves into an aged-care facility\, it seems their train-riding tradition is over\, but Scout and Pop make a plan …They build a station by his bed\, make the tickets and board a train that can take them anywhere – to yesterday and tomorrow\, to here and there\, and all the everywheres in between. \nFrom the beloved creators of The Truck Cat comes a story about trains and traditions\, children and their grandparents\, and the everlasting power of memory and imagination.  \n  \nAbout the creators: \nDeborah Frenkel is a writer of books\, billboards\, and the words on the back of cereal boxes\, which to date is probably her most widely read work (and certainly the most crunchy). Her picture books include the award-winning Naturopolis (2022) and The Sydney Harbour Fairy (2023). She’s based on Bunurong land\, in Melbourne’s Inner West\, but spends most of the time squinting at horizons in her imagination. \nAs a child Danny Snell was a reluctant reader\, so it was pictures rather than words that drew him to the wonder of books. Danny went on to study graphic design and illustration at the University of South Australia and he now works as a picture book illustrator and author. His books have won a number of awards including the CBCA Eve Pownall Award\, the Environment Award for Children’s Literature\, and the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Award. Danny lives in Adelaide with his partner\, his two daughters and a sleepy old cat. And yes\, he loves to read.
