Apollo Bay Word Fest

Apollo Bay Word Fest

Event Date: 24 July 2020 to 26 July 2020
Author / Presenters: Tony Birch, Kate Mildenhall, Lucy Treloar, Michael Veitch

You’d usually find us gathering in Apollo Bay’s Mech Hall on the last weekend in July, keeping warm in mid-winter with steaming cups, hot baked goods, the company of friends, and some of the finest words the country is offering up for the year. COVID-19 has brought Plan A to gnarly end… but if a phoenix can rise from the ashes, so too can the bay of Apollo. We’re going digital to keep us together and keep books & writing still coming to you.

FRI 24 July:
Perceptible, Poetry and Pies
An evening of spoken word by locals for locals

SAT 25 July:
Winners announced for:
“The Pen is Mightier When Bored” short story competition
Entry open until 1st July

SUN 26 July:
Warm Winter Words
Join us as Kate Mildenhall interviews Tony Birch, Lucy Treloar and Michael Veitch in a series of podcasts aired on Sunday 26th July at 2pm.

Kate will discuss all things books and writing with our panellists, and what they have to share about 20/20: Foresight/Hindsight.
