Online Feedback Clinic: Advanced Short Story

Writers Victoria

Event Date: 31 January 2023 12:00 PM
Author / Presenters: [email protected]

A short story ought to sustain both attention and imagination – a great short story leads the reader into a world where attention to detail is sustained by economy, complexity and depth. Rashida will provide targeted, individual feedback to improve your writing. Each month writers will be encouraged to focus on different aspects of the narrative form to create layered, nuanced stories. Some word prompts and links to specific texts may be provided to explore the links between language and form.

Starts 31 January. Pieces of up to 1500 words due 31 January, 28 February, 28 March, 25 April, 30 May.

Our Online Feedback Clinics are asynchronous, with no face-to-face meetings, allowing you to engage with the content at the times of day and week that suit your schedule. They are hosted on our private Wordpress server. There will be an optional Zoom introduction to the clinic website for those less confident with technology, which will be recorded for those who cannot attend live. For more information on our online feedback clinics, please read our FAQs
