Bendigo Writers Festival

There’s a long line of First Nations women in this country whose voices are being heard by those following in their footsteps. For the women who worked together on the Blak Brow edition of Melbourne magazine, The Lifted Brow, it was an opportunity to celebrate and share that lineage, though poetry, art, and writing in many forms. Honest, funny and real, the collective output of such projects is both an acknowledgement of those gone before and a track-making for those to come.
