Storytelling Workshop
Whitehorse Manningham Libraries
Stories help us connect with each other and make sense of the world around us. They bridge the gap between our own internal experiences and other people and places. Join us for this storytelling workshop where you will create some stories that connect you with places around you. In this short workshop, you will explore your connection to place through storying a significant moment from your life. You will learn the elements of crafting and sharing an oral story, and have a go telling and listening with others in the group. You will be guided by experienced oral storyteller and teacher Kate Lawrence. This session will be fun, participatory and reflective.
Placemaking programs are about strengthening the connection between people and the places they share to help build community resilience and make our neighbourhood centres and villages more vibrant. Supported by Manningham Council.
