Stella Day Out is a free one-day literary festival that celebrates and promotes the outstanding contributions of women and non-binary writers to Australian literature. Stella is committed to breaking down barriers within Australian literature and ensuring books by women and non-binary writers are being read and celebrated. Stella Day Out Melbourne will be held on Thursday 28th of November at the State Library Victoria. Session one: 11am-12pm | Trusting Your Intuition Mandy Beaumont, author of The Furies, speaks to Jayne Tuttle about the strong female characters in her novels. Session two: 1pm-2pm | Stories Inspired by History Join Emily Bitto as she discusses how her research inspired her novel The Strays. Moderated by Sally Warhaft. Session three: 3pm-4pm | TO BE ANNOUNCED - stay tuned
